Conveyor Automation:
Picking zones
  • Route totes through pick zones based on required picks.
  • Tote is diverted only when a pick is required, otherwise it continues to next zone.
  • Full totes are immediately routed to packing/shipping area, bypassing further picks.
  • Can route totes or cartons based on shipping label, reusable tote ID, carton content label, etc...
  • Divert to error lane if any picks are missing.
  • Route empty totes back to order induction area.
Packing / Shipping
  • Rule-based routing of totes and cartons to required lanes.
  • Ability to consolidate split orders to the same lane.
  • Round-robin load balancing (e.g. send all UPS cartons to one of 4 lanes).
  • Save carton weight received from in-line weight scale in WMS.
  • Trigger shipping system to rate and ship carton based on actual or calculated carton weight.
  • Execute user defined code snippets (e.g. trigger WMS to print packing slip on last carton scan).
System Architecture
  • Fully multi-threaded server design with typical response time < 100ms.
  • System can be configured for fault-tolerant operation and 100% uptime.
  • Ethernet TCP/IP communication with conveyor PLC.
  • Can be configured to act as a client or server.
  • Operates as a Windows service and can be installed remotely in a server room.
  • Web browser user interface allows remote monitoring of system.
Interfaces
  • Native interface for Radio Beacon and Accellos One WMS.
  • Define ad-hock rules for routing totes based on static barcodes (this method will work in any warehouse, independent of a WMS).
